The weather seems to always be an annual challenge no matter what you grow, and this year has been no exception. The long periods of unprecedented temperatures, lack of rain, hosepipe bans, pests and everything else have made this Dahlia growing season very difficult.
It is therefore a credit to every grower that such great blooms appeared on the show bench.
This year the Society has been working in partnership with a number of local village / town shows to help promote both exhibiting and attendance. These are important and vital community events, not to mention a lot of fun to attend.
2023 will see us working with even more and if you are involved with a local show please get in touch with Simon, our General Secretary to see how we might be able to work together on sponsoring an existing Dahlia class or even helping you create a beginner’s class for Dahlia growers.
