Fancy having a go at Showing?
If you have never showed before it can all seem daunting. There is no need to worry, you may think that you do not grow enough plants or your blooms are not good enough. You may even think that it’s a close knit clique of people and you will not be made welcome.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Here at the Cornish Dahlia Society everyone is made to feel welcome and everyone shares their tips, tricks and is willing to provide all the help and support you need.
We have classes for the complete beginner that just has a few plants in the garden. Our Peoples Dahlia Competition is a great place to start, you just need to cut some blooms (with as long a stem as you can) and bring them to our show. We will provide the vase and help you “stage” them. We might even suggest that you put your blooms into the main show classes under the novice section.
Why not give it go? You will find it fun and you could even walk away with some prize cards.
