In order to save postage and printing costs, which always seem to be increasing, we are trying to communicate with members via email as much as we can. With over 80% of our members having an email address this does seem the most sensible course of action.
However, we have discovered a problem. Users with Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo or Outlook email addresses are finding that sometimes our emails end up in the Junk or Spam box and they may not see them.
On our side we have everything in place to protect you and ensure that our emails are real. There is however, a simple thing you can do to tell your email program that our email addresses are safe. Please use the instructions and information below – we are informed by members that have already done this that it is only a two minute job. However, if you get stuck or need some help just get in touch with Simon (our General Secretary) and he will try to help you.
What is a Whitelist Email?
A whitelist email is an email address that you tell your email provider is a safe email address and that you trust the sender and that their emails can be sent to your Inbox and not your Spam folder.
To save this post being really long we have setup pages for each of the email providers below. Just click the link for the provider you use and follow the instructions. If you prefer click here to go to our downloads page where you can download a pdf version of these instructions if that makes it easier for you.
