On Saturday 25 August 2018 The Cornish Dahlia Society presented a solid silver medal to David Jasper at the main show held at the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
The medal, presented by Chairman of the Society Cyril Watkins, was in recognition of David’s commitment and hard work for the society over many many years.
David was voted to Chairman of the Society in 2006 and stepped down in February 2018. Prior to becoming Chairman David was on the committee for a number of years and has been involved with the society since its inception in 1981.
We are delighted that David will remain a member of the committee and continue providing advice and guidance to many growers and of course showing dahlias.
In addition to his work on the committee David has raised a number of new Dahlia varieties including Jazzy Bee and Tiggy Bee, in 2017 he won the Silver Medal for miniature decoratives Kernow Sen Lorraine and Kernow Sen Tetha. You can find out more about his dahlias on “Our Personalities” page.
Once again, many thanks David.
