This is the last event in our series of talks on Growing Dahlias. We have been covering all the topics you need to succeed at growing this beautiful flower, in the garden or for cut flowers and also showing.
Our dahlias should now be growing well and we now talk about disbudding, pests, feeding and talking care of your plants.
We also look at transporting your flowers to a show, staging the blooms and show classes. We hear from an NDS Judge on what they are looking for plus this is a good opportunity to ask any general questions on growing dahlias from our expert growers, exhibitors and breeders.
Jackie, a novice grower, will talk to us about her new dahlia growing hobby and what showing for the first time was like – it was great fun with plenty of help and advice.
This event is open to everyone whether you are a member or not. There is a small entrance fee of £1 per person which includes a cup of tea or coffee during the short interval and we are also holding a raffle.
Plenty of free parking and easy access, we look forward to seeing you all.
