Cornish Dahlia Society 2025 Get Together

Our Annual Get Together to discuss the season and join in with some great speakers.

October sees us holing on Our Annual Get Together.  A great opportunity to meet up and discuss everything that has been happening to our dahlias during this season and to look forward to the 2026 growing and showing season. Our speakers for this event are shown below.

We will have a raffle and question and answer session, there is free parking and the event is open to everyone – so bring your brings along – you do not need to be a member.

There is a small entrance free which includes a free tea or coffee during the interval, we look forward to seeing you there.

A Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society, Tim is driven by a fascination with the hidden lives of insects and a mission to share their extraordinary stories with the world.
As a broadcaster, Tim brings the natural world to life with energy and depth. He’s handled flying lizards and rhinoceros beetles alongside Sir David Attenborough in Borneo, and once performed Britain’s only authentic flea circus during the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures.
As a wildlife photographer, he captures the intricate beauty of often-overlooked species, championing the insects, arachnids, and invertebrates that quietly shape our planet’s ecosystems.
He will be helping us to get the best photos of our dahlias with tips, tricks and demonstrations.
Tim and his students will also be visiting our dahlia display garden at the Lost Gardens of Heligan to capture the beauty of the display.

It is shaping up to be a very interesting and enjoyable afternoon.
